Fractal Tear

So I’ve seen a lot of theories floating around the internet regarding Endgame and I’ve been super impressed. With all the hype building up since what, 2010? It’s easy to see why fans like myself have been going crazy for these tiny tidbits of info.

I’ve taken a few established ideas and a lot of my own and came up with, what I think, may be the plot of Avengers: Endgame. Read carefully though just in case I may be right and spoil something! Here we go..

The movie starts with The Avengers broken and in disrepair after the ‘decimation’ caused by Thanos that wiped out 50% of all life in the universe. Captain America is chief among them in wanting to find a way to reverse this and even states this in the trailer “Some people move on, but not us.” Captain Marvel shows up after Nick Furys pager he used in his final moments calls her back to Earth. As seen in a released clip Carol (Captain Marvel) wants to skip the thinking and go straight to Thanos, get the gauntlet, and bring everyone back. Which I believe they try.

Here is where things get into my theory. They arrive at the planet he has ‘retired’ to and confront him about the snap, demanding that he reverse the event. Thanos tells them that even if he wanted to he can’t. The Gauntlet is beyond repair and destroyed (Which I believe he himself did to remove any possibility of them being used again) They fight and ultimately realize this will lead nowhere.

Years pass. Eventually most of the team has moved on and accepted that this is the new reality. Scott Lang (Who has been stuck in the Quantum realm for years) emerges with the Quantum Tunnel in the van. He realizes what has happened and that what felt like hours to him has been years. His first reaction being to find the Avengers that remain. Arriving at the Avengers facility,
he tells them about the tunnel and that the Quantum realm has the ability to let them travel through time.

Armed with this knowledge, the Avengers decide to travel back to when each Infinity Stone was most vulnerable and destroy/collect them before Thanos ever has a chance to in the present.

• Captain America goes to the 40’s before Howard Stark pulls the Tesseract out of the ocean (Space Stone)
• Cap and Tony both go to the original Battle of New York in 2012 to get Lokis staff which holds the Mind Stone.
• A large group (Tony, Thor, Cap etc) go to Xandar after Thanos’ orginal attack to retrieve the Power Stone from Nova Corp.
• Thor travels to the events of ‘The Dark World’ to get the Reality Stone from Malekith. (And possibly brings Loki back from this point in time)
• Time Stone (Unknown)
• Soul Stone (Unknown)
